Editorial Guidelines

Last updated:

USA Tech Deals is written and edited by one person, Afraz Alam, for US remote professionals who want a healthier, more productive home office. These guidelines explain how we decide what to publish and how we keep it honest.

What we publish

  • Problem-first guides: back, neck, eye and wrist pain, small spaces, laptop-only setups, slow WiFi, noisy calls, and who pays for the setup.
  • Research-based buying guides that explain what matters in a product category and who should skip each pick.
  • Free browser tools: calculators and device tests that run entirely on your device.
  • Setups you can copy, with every item and the total cost in US dollars.

Honesty rules

  • We only say “tested” when the editor has used the product himself. Everything else is labeled as research.
  • No star ratings on our own reviews, and no review or rating markup for search engines.
  • No fake reviews, no invented statistics. Every figure shows its source (the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA), WFH Research) or is labeled an estimate.
  • Every guide shows a last-updated date. Prices, when mentioned, show the date they were checked.
  • We say who a product is not for.

Money and independence

Right now the site earns nothing: there are no affiliate links, sponsored posts or paid placements. If that changes, the page involved will say so clearly at the top, as the FTC requires. Brands cannot buy a place in a guide. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us at info@usatechdeals.com or through the contact page. We fix errors quickly and update the date on the page.

AI and automation

Articles are written and edited by the editor. Tools such as spelling and grammar checkers may be used. Every article carries the name of the human editor who wrote it. No generated persona appears on this site.
