I decided to get a new Android phone to replace my aging Note 9 which was going to need a bettery replaced after serving me well for almost 5 years. I am someone who despises the sound of Bluetooth for music so I knew I wanted to find something modern with a stylus and a headphone jack, since I also despise carrying an extra adapter around and want to be able to enjoy my music while the phone is charging without being forced to use Bluetooth. I didn’t necessarily need or want a flagship when I went shopping for this phone, just wanted something mid range which supported the latest 5g, Wifi, and Bluetooth standards, and for a mid range phone, the Moto G Stylus 2023 doesn’t disappoint.First a couple of potential negatives for some people: I knew I liked the stylus, but never used the remote function so the Moto G only having a basic stylus without the remote camera function of the Galaxies wasn’t an issue with me, but, may be for some users who like the more advanced styluses such as the ones that the Galaxy Notes have. The only other negative I have noticed is that while the 50MP camera is great in bright light, it isn’t quite as good as some others in low light, but it’s far from the worst I have encountered in a modern phone. That being said, now that I have the potential negatives out of the way, I absolutely love everything else about this phone. It’s comfortable to hold. The display is clear and crisp and I have no issues using it in any light level from bright daylight to a very dark room. The display is also great for watching movies and videos, and I had no issues doing some light gaming on it either. The battery lasts roughly 2 days with my relatively heavy use. Both cell and Wifi reception are excellent. I work in some very isolated rural areas in the Rocky Mountains and this phone works in places where my co worker’s brand new iPhone doesn’t on the same carrier (Verizon in this case). No dropped calls or lack of 4g/5g service in many spots where his iPhone is useless. The 256 G of on board memory plus the ability to add 2TB more on a Micro SD card is another plus for this phone, my purchase price for it and a 1 TB micro SD card was a fraction of most flagship phones cost, some of which, including every iPhone ever made, don’t even offer the option to add storage.Besides for support for additional memory, if you still like listening to music through a standard headphone jack, this phone doesn’t disappoint. The sound is very good though the jack, and the onboard DAC and headphone amp seem to have a great frequency response and an extremely low noise floor and no evidence of RF noise or other annoying interference. Another unadvertised, yet pleasant surprise, which some people may be interested in, was finding that this phone has an FM radio tuner on board, a rarity for a US market phone these days. I tried it out and it performed surprisingly well, great sensitivity for pulling in distant stations and great selectivity which allows for pleasant listening when 2 stations are right next to each other on the dial. It even supports RDS which displays artist name and song titles, among other things, for stations which transmit that data.Overall, a very impressive product for the price, great job Motorola!Highly recommend this phone!

Buy this yesterday already. There is a small amount of easily removable bloatware on this, but otherwise, it’s a very affordable phone that comes with a stylus.Connectivity is very good, in the typical Lenovo/Motorola fashion. This is a great phone if gaming is not your thing and if you don’t need quirks like foldable displays or cameras with “Samsung 100x space zoom.” It’s simple, reliable, and has a GREAT price. The screen is very responsive, videos work flawlessly, and the photos from the 3 cameras (1 front, 2 rear) are excellent. The mounting of the stylus (just like the 2021 and 2022 versions) leaves something to be desired, as it WILL fall out at some point. To prevent the loss of said stylus, get a GOOD case like an OtterBox or a DBrand for this phone, and order and keep spare stylus pens on you if you use them a lot (for signing documents and editing photos). I really wish that would be re-located to the top of the phone instead of being stuffed into the bottom, but for most users who don’t use the stylus, that’s a moot point.I’ve had several Motorola phones since 2019 (when the LG Stylo was discontinued), and they’ve all been good. This is yet another one I can recommend.

The price dropped about $100 so I decided to get myself the first new phone I’ve had in 4 years. The screen is noticeably better quality; with better color, and brighter, and its 120Hz refresh provides smooth video. The screen tech is the same as the top-tier iPhone & Samsung models. I also like a stylus because it helps with editing which I cannot do with a fingertip. There are several configurations of this device depending on where it is purchased. This particular one is “Unlocked” in its TOP trim. The rest of its specs are impressive considering its current price point. I bought this to replace my very old Moto Z Play with only 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The old phone was getting full and is struggling when having to connect to Android Auto. I liked the Moto Gestures to turn on the flash light, etc, so I thought I give Moto another chance. Those features returns. With it a lot of other fluff that Motorolla decided to install in it. Moto Hub is the biggest offender. It has notification on that says that it can be adjusted, but it kept spouting out irrelevant news bits that I wasn’t asking for. The only option to turn off notification can only be done for 24 hours before it will bug you again. The good news is that you can uninstall the app. Which I did and peace and order was restored. The second problem I encounter was at one point, after I activated my phone, I receive no phone signal. I had to turn on WiFi calling to make calls and I can’t receive call at all. This was frustrating because I was trying to contact plumbers to make an after hour visit. You can receive SMS messages but no signal to make calls. After some troubleshooting with Verizon support, I figured out that reseating the SIMM card fixes the problem. I have no further call issue after that solution.I haven’t been using the stylus much at all since the case cover with screen protector that I got somewhat hinder the performance a bit. But I don’t miss that function much. I just use it as a normal phone. The Android Auto performance was excellent. It normally takes me 2+ minute to get going from plugging it in, to almost instantly connected and ready to go.It is a very good value at $299 which when I bought it. It can play Genshin Impact, has ample 256GB storage and it is expandable with microSD card. At the moment my free storage is sitting comfortably above 199GB. The 6GB RAM also pretty good in keeping that Android Auto snappy instead of having to swap the memory around.I set my phone up to unlock with fingerprint sensor touch and face unlock. The face unlock is a bit finnicky (can only safe one face at one lighting condition) but the fingerprint unlock performs flawlessly and you can add more than one finger to unlock. When setting up your fingerprint unlock, be sure to touch the sensor at every different angle you might be touching the phone to unlock it. Set multiple fingers with left and right hands (preferably two fingers of each hands: thumb and pointing finger). Turn your phone upside-down and facedown if necessary. This way you can always unlock with any finger that will reach that power button.Overall, I’m happy with the purchase despite the minor annoyances. Good performance, good battery life, annoyance that can be turned off.

This phone is an excellent value considering the features included at its low price. I was attracted by the long battery life, 5G capability, high resolution screen, and stylus. My wife and I have had 4 or 5 different Motorola phones over the past 15 years and been very satisfied with them. Long battery life is a hallmark of Motorola phones. My primary use is for phone calls, text messages, and internet access. The battery easily gets me through a full day without the need to recharge. On those days where I overuse the phone it’s easy to boost the charge with a brief plugin. I like having an earphone jack, Dolby stereo, and 2 speakers since I frequently use the phone to play music. Phone conversation has been clear and crisp. The migration from my Motorola G Power 2020 to this phone is the smoothest and fastest that I’ve ever experienced. I connected a cable with USB-C connectors on each end between the 2 phones and had everthing transferred well within an hour. Thus far I haven’t detected any missing apps, contacts, or anything else. I had to adjust many settings on the new phone, but that was relatively simple. I have not yet tested 5G to see how much it’s an improvement over 4G, but I have observed that I’m connected in 5G mode. Nor have I tested the camera very much. As a photography hobbyist, I frequently carry interchangeable lens cameras with me and seldom use my phone’s camera. I’ve taken a few selfies and some scenery shots merely to verify that the camera is working… One of the improvements that matters to me greatly is that this phones don’t skip when I play music through my Bose QC45 noise cancelling headphones. My previous Moto G Power 2020 had interruptions when paired with the Bose QC45’s. I spent many hours troubleshooting that. I did not experience that skipping with any other source connected to the Bose QC 45’s. Nor did I experience the skipping when I connected the Moto G Power 2020 phone to any other bluetooth receiver. I never determined why my old phone didn’t work well with the Bose headphones, but I’m glad that the Moto G Stylus 2023 5G works well with the Bose QC45 headphones. I heartily recommend this phone.

Absolutely love this phone Like it better than my iphone. Does everything any phone user needs..Not the best camera out there but is plenty for most users. Great reception in all areas. Sound is very good.If your looking for a rugged phone with all the features without spending a fortune, the Motorola 5 G stylus is it. I will never pay a high price for a carrier phone again and get locked into a contract.

I purchased this phone in “acceptable” condition and was very much impressed when it came in. The phone is near perfect save for a little scratch on the screen. It might as well be brand new. Excellent price and I will definitely be shopping this seller for my next device!

I have yet to be disappointed in Motorola. Phone works Great

Love it for my everyday phone, has great battery and alot of weird and great options. If you’re a Samsung user you should make the switch. Camera could be better, but the price is still fantastic.
