This is the best budget phone with Android 14 IMHO. I had the 2023 version and although this years Mediatek Dimensity 7020 is pretty much the same as last years Dimensity 930, the extra RAM (8 GB total) makes this device run smoother and faster. The screen is nice and bright. I love the battery life and the side fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock work a lot faster on the 2024 model. Thanks to Motorola for listening and adding NFC for easy Google pay. The Pale Lilac color is incredibly good looking and the vegan leather is so easy to hold and feels high end. I am also happy with the OIS camera, beyond solid. Glad I returned the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G for this. There were GPS and 5G signal issues and it was sooooo laggy while using my Amazon Flex Delivery App. This may be a mid-range phone but people think I paid double for it!!

I REALLY LOVE THIS MOTO G POWER 5G PHONE!!! I purchased my original Moto 5G in 2019 and for a very long time I was very hesitant in replacing it with a newer version. Even though I did consider briefly buying a Moto 7G Phone in 2022 but I just wasn’t impressed with the unusual changes Motorola made just to make it look and work “different”. However, when I first saw this 2023 Version I was very happy to see that a lot things were back to the way I remembered them before changes they made to the Interface were actually ones that I liked. Such as Swiping down on the Homescreen “twice” instead of “once” to Auto-Rotate the Screen, which I used to accidentally do all the time. I know that something like this is very minor but it’s just one of the many ways Moto rethought the Interface to be more user-friendly.IMPORTANT POINTS: This Phone has a Three-Day Battery Life, which is truly excellent! The feel, the weight and the look of it is really nice and it fits in my hand and pocket perfectly. The Display Screen and Refresh Rate is top notch and the Performance is Fantastic! Another BIG PLUS for me is that it has a 256GB of Storage as compared to 128GB. Also this Phone still has a Headphone Jack (Yay!) and it comes with a Phone Charger in the Box, which the 2024 Version does NOT have.THE ONLY NEGATIVE: For some reason Motorola thought that I wanted to have Tik-Tok and another App already Installed and it was difficult to remove it. By the way, I heard that the Moto g Power 5G 2024 has A LOT more of these Applications ALREADY installed, which is absolutely something I do NOT want at all.NOTE: I intentionally did NOT purchase the 2024 Version of the Moto g Power 5G partially because of the “reimagined” Interface, nor all of the massive amount of ALREADY installed “Bloatware” I’ve been reading about. Also, since I am very concerned about Security, I did NOT want the New NFC (Near Field Communications) which would include my Credit Card, Tap to Pay and other Financial information on my Cellphone. Although, I would have liked to have the New Wireless Charging Feature but it was something I able to live without.

I was replacing a Nokia G10 (Android 13.0), which was getting older and acting a little wonky. If you are doing hardcore gaming and video, I’m a grandpa and can’t speak to that, but this phone starts up fast (which was a problem with a Nokia 10), has better sound, no complaints with the camera, and a good “intro to Moto-G” routine that allowed me to select or decline some nice added gestures like shaking on the flashlight, camera, and going into quiet mode when I set it face down. I like it better than my wife’s Apple phone, which I sometimes use. For a regular user, it’s a great phone for the price.

All functions were perfect and quite a cheaper alternative for a smartphone, specifically research this for aftermarket service in case the screen goes bad, or had to replace the battery later. Unlike my Moto g basic which turns out to be a throwaway phone, as, apparently, you could not replace the battery on it through a retail service. Although you could order the battery 🙂 I’m turning the phone over to the retail service, they then informed me that the phone could not be accessed easily enough to replace the battery. So, I replaced it with this one after checking to see that was not the case on this model. Please do your own research.

Everything I wanted – wireless AND turbo charging, full day battery Android 14, crisp pictures, magical fingerprint and face recognition, earplug jack, I could go on. Slightly larger screen size than my previous workhorse — my dual sim Blackview, which would have been my next new phone, but Blackview dropped wireless charging capabilities. You shouldn’t have to spend $800 for wireless charging! I love the night time mode, a nice sidebar for those special apps, and a 3 finger screen shot. Smart camera app can customize and sort photos 🙂 I know, this is not a new thing, but it’s new to me. Those are some of my first pictures with this phone, Natural Bridge Caverns, New Braunfels, the Alamo, and — of course — my cat 🙂

This is my 2nd Moto G Power. I like ti for the long battery life and good power management. Phones I’ve had in the past, I would charge drive to work,(90 min in california). Then plug it back in in the office. I would spend the day taking the phone with me and plug it back in when I returned to my desk. Then I would drive home and plug it back in there. I don’t mention a phone because this was every phone I ever owned. I had a number vrom various manufacturers and models. Until I went with the moto g power. This phone actually lasts for more than a day and that’s with me phoning and texting and surfing and streaming. You REALLY have to be doing A LOT of high use activities before you NEED to recharge in less than a day. That’s a big thing for me because it keeps me untethered from the charging socket. This phone does all the usual smart phone stuff about like any other phone. It has a decent camera and decent sound quality. My only gripe is that when I switch headphones it cranks the volume up to the max. I have a couple of identical ear bud headphones. I had these same headphones on my old moto g power. On that one when the headphones ran out of juice I would to the identical charged other pair and just go on. Well, as I said, with the new phone when I switch it cranks up the volume to the max. I suspect that this may be an android as the old phone was 11 or 12 and the new phone is android 14. It’s not a big deal but it’s my one gripe. Unless you swap headphones like I do you probably won’t even notice. I like this phone. I wish I could have found a black one but I had to settle for white. I was more interested in the best price rather than the color. Great phone, I like it enough that this is my second one. The review is asking about the fingerprint reader and face recognition. The phone has these features but I don’t use them. I prefer to relay on a pin code for access. I have never had very good luck with finger and face on any phone so I don’t use them.

This phone has outperformed the rest that I have put it up against I have had to use my own hotspot for my family members expensive phones to have signal. I have had Motorola phones my whole life and this is for none the best one yet I waited and I’m glad I did. This phone comes directly from Motorola unlocked and ready to go and I absolutely love the scratch resistant screen and the charging is crazy fast. I have pretty big hands in the sizes perfect the fingerprint sensor works just as it’s supposed to and locks and unlocks perfectly. I use mine on Verizon and it’s compatibility is perfect. For the size and the money you get a lot all in one package definitely recommend you buy this one I’m already adding another one to my cart to have it sitting in a drawer because I work in very hard environments and this phone has not missed a lick don’t spend a whole bunch of money on the phone that won’t do what it says it’s supposed to do this one is a fraction of the cost and outperforms all of them bar none!!!

I’ve been a long time user of a different brand of smartphone. I don’t get new phones very often, and I don’t spend a lot of time using them to where I would need the most up-to-date, high-performance capabilities, so I didn’t want to spend very much money on a new one when the screen on my year and half old other brand phone started failing. So I spent a couple hours searching for what I thought would be a good replacement that wouldn’t cost much more than it would to replace the screen on the old one, and I decided on this one.I made the right choice. The out-of-box experience and initial use of the phone greatly surpassed my expectations, and has been the best out-of-box experience I’ve ever had with a smartphone. Everything just…works. Every app I need to use just opens up instantly and starts working, something I am not accustomed to with any smartphone I’ve ever had. No time-vampire waiting around nonsense, it all just works smoothly. This is my first Motorola smartphone. And I’m very impressed, and very pleased with it. For my light-medium usage needs going forward, it’s perfect.

My wife and I both have one and we love them. They updated to android 14, they work flawlessly, wifi signal hasn’t dropped a single time, I’ve played games and it hasn’t gotten hot, it isn’t laggy at all. Battery doesn’t drain super fast. All of my apps are compatible with it which is huge. No issues, but if anything changes I will update

No issues since I bought the Moto G 5G. Great signal quality. I did have to adjust at first since I’ve always used Galaxy and some UI features I loved are not on the Moto OS, BUT now there are features Motorola’s version of android UI offers that I wouldn’t want to lose. It’s been a great phone. The camera isn’t as good as my Wife’s camera on her Galaxy A14, but it’s not bad. This is a lower cost phone, so I don’t expect top of the line images. Great value for a solid phone with tons of storage compared to others at the price point (when I bought it, prices may have changed since then)
