I’ve had this phone for a week, and so far I’m extremely impressed for paying $370. This phone has great flagship tier specs.Pros: The screen is beautiful at 6.6 inches. The OLED screen is bright, even in sunlight. My last phone struggled there. The 144hz display feels amazing in my hands. The carbon fiber backing of this phone feels very premium. It’s soft and super durable. I feel bad putting a case on it! It needs to be shown off haha. The aluminum sides feel nice. I’ve never had a phone this waterproof and I’m afraid to test it haha. The 68w fast charging is amazing, I went from 10%-100% in around 30 minutes. That’s mind blowing. The battery lasts over night, and throughout the next day. I top off before bed and don’t worry about it again. The camera is remarkable. A huge step up from my previous phone. Anyone who says this camera isn’t good, relies too much on ai processing. The only thing it’s missing is telescopic view.Ready for Smart Connect is LIFE CHANGING. I’m able to use my phone while on my computer at work. It has made phone usage and communication so much better. It has so many features I would need to make a video about it.The 5G is blazing fast on ATT prepaid. You’d think it would cost extra to see speeds increase this much! Only had 4g before. It has great Bluetooth specs, supports aptX Adaptive Lossless. Usually that’s reserved for the top flagships! I use wired so I won’t use it soon, but will be nice if I need it.Face unlock is so fast it usually beats my fingerprint!Cons:It’s missing expandable storage, and a headphone jack. I was holding out for a phone that had those two specs, but this phone’s price and performance won me overIt gets a bit warm when using the phone. It’s never super concerning, but it’s definitely a reminder for me to set my phone for down for a bit to cool off.Overall, hands down an amazing purchase for under $400. I would recommend to anyone looking for an android at $400 or less

This review comes from the perspective of a person who has never owned a Samsung or Apple device. If you’re reading this and it’s not on sale, and you don’t mind the big guys… Keep it moving. This phone isn’t worth the asking price on build quality alone. But if you see this anywhere under 8 hundos, and you’re ready to buy the optional 68 watt charger (moto made, and verified compatible) then read on my friend, and let tell you about this hidden gem.Build quality: Looks good, but can feel a bit cheap with the plastic frame. Buy a case and forget about it ( I got a Poetic case). The volume buttons are above the power button, you get used to it but still not the best configuration. The phone does heat up while gaming, charging the battery, and taking pictures. HOWEVER, after having done a throttle test, I can tell you that the heat management is very good, and the performance loss never dipped under 80% over half an hour, nor did temperatures pass 50c.Hardware:Screen is accurate but not bright, with slightly cooler tones out of the box. There are limited adjustment options available in settings. Direct sunlight visibility is just OK, definitely functional. The auto frame rate adjust is great and saves battery… But that 144 frame rate is buttery smooth.Signal : I’m on At&t, and initially assumed that I would be stuck on 4g. First I installed the sim, then At&t sent an update a day later and after resetting the phone 5G was available!!! No dropped or missed calls at all.Speakers are loud but a bit tinny until adjusted. Dolby equaliser should be set to film (surround sound) and pick the treble boost Sub option. Bass boost sub options are available as well. If you leave Dolby on automatic, they focus more on voices than music, so it’s great for non music target.Battery life is pretty good on a heavy day, excellent for everyday use. Easily getting over 6 – 7 SoT, even with heavy use ( ex. hours of YouTube playback, Genshin Impact, taking pictures, and making calls) I haven’t dipped anywhere near the 5’s. The optional 68 watt charger has me topped off in a little less than an hour. Buy it, it makes the phone into a certified beast. This phone can also charge other devices when they are connected via USB c cable.Camera : physically very cool design, motorala’s photo app is not so cool. Strange colour science they chose to roll with for photos. It is the phone’s greatest weakness. Xda forums has a working version of Gcam alongside the. Xml config file. It changes everything! All of a sudden, you’re in the big boy camera game too. And you can even change Gcam to the default camera for your moto gestures!gcam-for-edge-x30-edge-30-pro-edge-plus-2022-working-night-mode-face-retouch-config-file.4391919/#post-86297887….. This is a clue how you get there. Research how to use the xml file and where to put it. Good luck.Software :Its stock android with moto mods mixed in. The unlocked version doesn’t come with a lot of useless apps. If you’re obsessed with security updates then you won’t like it. You can use whichever launcher you want, but I think stock does a pretty good job.The software excitement comes with Ready For (aka Motorola Dex) Trust me guys n gals, it’s legitimate and not a gimmick. I’ve played emulators on big screens, checked my emails with portable monitors, and basically made my laptop obsolete. It’s that dang good. Plus it can recognise the display output of the device it’s connected to and adjust. Get yourself a Bluetooth keyboard, a Usbc to hdmi cable, and a Bluetooth video game remote. The all in one experience is finally here, there, and anywhere a compatible device can be connected or cast to.Pro tips: Apt-X is a Bluetooth audio codec, and it makes compatible headphones sound truly amazing. I’ve found that Apt-X Adaptable can be a bit laggy on this phone, and honestly didn’t change much more than normal Apt-X. Trust me, if you don’t know anything about Bluetooth codecs and wonder if it’s worth the hassle, just try it once for comparison and thank me later. The Motorola Edge+2022 has less available resources under this name as compared to Motorola Edge 30 pro. They’re the same phone and can share the same resources. This will double the amount of advice and information you can find.Even though it looks like the sim tray can accept two cards… It can’t. I tried.Developer mode . Change the animation speed to x.5, change the default Bluetooth codec, change the World. Don’t play around too much or you’ll brick your phone. Every time you connect a new device you’ll have to check the Bluetooth codec option to change it. The phone should do it automatically after the first time.If you’ve made it this far.. Thank you for taking the time. If you do decide to buy this phone, I’d like to welcome you to a very small and exclusive group of people. We found our diamond in the rough, and with any luck it’s going to carry us (with 2 major updates and 3 years of security support) into a whole new world of productivity and awesome. Hello 👋 Moto… LET’S GO!!!

I’ve bought Motorolas for a long time now. I’ve ventured out to Samsung and LG on occasion, but I’ve always come back. Motorola makes great solid, reliable midrange phones with about as authentic of an Android experience you can get. I was reluctant after the company was acquired by Lenovo, but I can attest they’re still good phones.I bought this to replace my Moto X4 not because the Moto X4 was broken or didn’t work, but because I wanted to take advantage of wireless android auto in my Jeep and the newest OS for the X4 was incompatible. I had gotten my money’s worth out of that phone already anyways. One of my favorite changes is that the fingerprint reader is built into the power button.. this is MILES better than any in-screen fingerprint reader I’ve used. It’s almost instantaneous. Press the power button like normal and it likely already processed your fingerprint and unlocked the phone.Battery life, as with all of my Motorolas, seems to be a step above the other brands.Other than a Pixel, Motorola offers as close to an authentic Android experience as you’ll find. They’re not trying to force you into some stupid ecosystem you don’t want. Bloatware is minimal. Again, this is why I keep coming back to Motorola.Screen quality is very good. I used to think anything greater than 1080p on a little phone is overkill, but I admit the text does look noticeably more crisp.I have two disappointments, which are fairly minor:1) The phone has stereo speakers built-in, but as others have noted, the second speaker is just the earpiece, and therefore it’s much quieter than the main speaker, giving it a lopsided soundstage. I guess it’s better than nothing, but not by much. Speaker quality is still decent, but nowhere near iPhone quality. I’ve yet to hear an Android that competes, though.2) Camera software seems laggy/low FPS. I’m guessing it has to do with the multiple cameras and the phone processing them together to create one image, but it feels like the camera “viewfinder” runs at <30fps. The images that come out are still good. Again, not iPhone quality, but perfectly good for a midrange-priced Android phone. I was just disappointed compared to my Moto X4 because that thing was always smooth as butter and image quality was 90% of what this fancy three-camera setup achieves. I still think these multi-camera setups are a bit of a gimmick. Or maybe Android/Motorola just aren't utilizing them optimally. All of my other complaints are with Android itself, so they'd be present on any brand. Having owned both iPhones and Androids, I like Android for their flexibility, but with each new version of Android I feel drawn back to the 'everything just works like it should' quality that iOS has. Apple feels like it was designed by a small group of people who understood the mission well; Android sometimes feels like it was designed by a thousand of different people who never talked to each other. As these mobile OSs get more complex and feature packed, I'm starting to think I'd rather have stability than flexibility/customisation. For my next phone, I may go back to iPhone... Again, though, this is not specific to this phone--just Android itself. So I guess this rant wasn't really necessary..Good phone if you're looking for an Android! Not the best-of-the-best, but a great balance of capability and price. Probably the sweet-spot of the market.

I have had this phone for about a week now, and tested it extensively after receiving it.The first day, the battery went down quickly but after a couple of cycles it changed significantly. As of now, it is a solid 2-day battery with moderately heavy use.The screen on this device is very bright, and the 144hz refresh rate makes the experience feel extremely smooth. The edges to the screen give the device a very premium feel, much like the S9/Note 9 phones that Samsung made a few years ago. There is a decent amount of gaming power in this phone, yet nothing to phone home about. You’d likely get a decent experience at medium settings in most AAA mobile games. For the price, getting 8GB of RAM and 256GB ROM is also a major plus. Plenty of storage for games, photos, necessary apps, updates, and more. The multi-tasking on this phone is great, given the higher RAM capacity.I also like the customization options that Motorola has available for Android. You can truly give yourself a unique look tailored to you, which makes the device more fun to use in some aspects.I am very surprised to say that there is nothing bad I can tell you about this phone. Even dropped it a couple times. Nothing but scratches to the metal frame.

I dropped my pretty new Samsung s23 ultra on a jobsite and cracked the screen bad. replacement screen for my color phone is not available. so I needed a new phone. I had this one overnight’ed to me. I got a case that looked like it would be the most protective. and i set it up to use as a temp phone. I have been very impressed! so far it’s been awesome.Pro’s: – Incredible battery life – smooth operation (it is fast and responsive), – flat screen (no useless curved edges) – crisp screen with good colors, – good cameras (not the single best out there, but still very good), – handy, light weight, easy to set up and use. – ‘Ready For’!!! holy cow, they did it right! better than Dex, better than old continuum, single best phone to PC user interface i have seen. fast, smooth, and so extremely useful!!! when I’m in the office it is great for sharing pics and contacts and websites between devices, it is brilliant! probably the most understated feature of the phone. the ‘Windows 365’ for large corporations and such is lost on most of the world, but most basic users can really benefit from the ‘Mobile Desktop’ mode. it’s awesome!Con’s: it is only missing 2 things.1: stylus. Motorola already has a stylus phone, they have the technology, should have put it with this phone, or maybe used the surface protocol so when you have a surface pen you can use it on the phone too. really a huge benefit that not enough manufacturers offer. marking up pictures precisely, finite controls with something smaller than the tip of my finger. stylus is huge and should be an option on the next iteration.2: micro-SD card. I know all the phone companies think we live next to a cell tower and have 5 bars all the time, but that is not true. in the mountains the signal strength is always changing. it is so much better to have room to store important file on the phone that you can rely on being there, and plenty of them without have to wonder if you will run out of room. that would make all newer phone better. cloud storage is awesome, but it’s not always as accessible as the commercials indicate. local storage is a must. and being able to have more would give this device an advantage over all the rest of the phones that don’t offer it anymore.3: More case options. The case that comes with it is a joke. It needs a good rubbery Otterbox defender style case. I have not seen one yet.In short, I really like this phone, the Ready For is so useful that there is a good chance that I will not go back to my Samsung after it is fixed. If this phone had a stylus, it would be no competition, ThinkPhone for the win!If it had a stylus and micro sd card slot, it would be just that much better.

I’ve been a Blackberry fan since the 9930. Went through all BB10 devices and the Priv. Even got the Titan by unihertz. I’ve run top tier android phone from LG’s v lineup(next favorite phone to blackberry)notes ,fold 3 and 4, s23 ultra, moto edge plus 2022 and none of them came close to the feel of the Blackberry’s. This just does. Been running it since purchase and never changed back.No lag, amazing battery life, fast charging good enough camera for my use.The only thing they could do to improve for a gen 2 is go back to the physical fingerprint power button like the Motorola edge plus 2022 in the same position or copy LG fingerprint sensor on the back and add a headphone jack.I look forward to the next generation think phone.

Just got this phone Today. Finally have all my Apps transferred over & installed. The One Con I can see right off the bat is The Battery Charge isn’t going to be great. I will say that my phone came completely drained, zero charge, and it does only take just over an hour to fully charge with the Turbo Charge 30W. But from 100% fully charged to currently sitting at 71% in 5 Hours, not the greatest! Also note, not only have I added all kinds of Apps and constant adjustments to my phone Non-Stop in those 5 Hours, but my brightness on my phone is about 75% turned up, which also wears down the battery faster. In other words, I only have the Full Brightness turned down from 100% to 75%, because I need/ like it bright. There is One Other Con, and this is not just this smartphone but virtually all smartphones in general, and this was a Major Factoring In & swung me over to getting this particular phone. All these companies are basically doing away with – Dual Sim Cards &/ or MicroSD Cards. There are very few phones out there that even have those now. And, when I say that THERE’S A CATCH TO IT! Most are not only No Name Brands, so Cheap and Untrusted, but also you have to really get in there and do your research as I did. It’s most likely not as advertised – Dual Sim Card & MicroSD Card for Expansion of Memory. Nope, MOST are you have a choice of Only 1 Sim Card & 1 MicroSD Card, OR 2 Sim Cards ONLY! So, you/ I would have to sacrifice one for another but you can’t have Great Memory and The Flexibility of 2 Sims/ #. I’m Not carrying around 2 separate phones. I don’t know about you?! So, these corporations are leading us down and away from what we/ I really want to the general thing we all have to have, and that’s Technology and go where The Savings are. So, I finally did away with my others number. A Sacrifice that This Phone helped make a little easier on my wallet without sacrificing too much.Other than that one con, which I can easily manage, this phone is really REALLY AWESOME! I got the White/ Stardust, a clear flexible cover so I can see that gorgeous shine and slight iridescent rainbow effect, of course threw on protective glass on front, and this baby shines… But not only does it look good on the outside it’s cranked up on the inside. With 8G RAM/ 512G Memory for Storage, 60MP Front Camera for selfies, 50MP for all other pix on the Back, & a plethora of all kinds of other features I haven’t even begun to dive into and explore yet. This is by far the best Smartphone I’ve had to date. Because I’m NEVER going to spend anywhere near 1K or greater on a phone, as in EVER!!!… And, I just got off the phone with my friend that the day before I bought this phone she just got the new iPhone 15. She was greatly disappointed that my camera’s and memory far exceeds hers, and that’s a Thousand Dollar Phone. You can have your Apples! I’ve been using Motorola since my very first Flip Phone back in 1995. LOL So, there’s a little info for you. Enjoy the Moto Edge Plus 2022 Flagship. Sail on!

I never realized how intuitive Android’s could be until I upgraded from a 2020 version of a moto g to this 2022 version. I like the way the sound quality sounds when it is on speaker… it is really crisp and moderate volume level is more than enough to hear music or conversations. I really like the features such as the little fun graphics and commentary that goes along with the whole phone’s about system and learning the gestures and such. If I would like to easily turn on my flashlight all I would have to do is shake the phone once or twice and if I want to take a screenshot I can hold three fingers down on the screen for a moment and it snaps a photo of what is on my screen, which is a really handy tool if you are like me and like to save photo lists of thingsto shop for on here.Anyway, aside from sound and gestures, I’dsay that the last most nice and convenient thing about this phone is it’s lightness. It not only feels light to hold, but there is more ample storage in the phone’s drive and less bloatware than my previous Moto g. On my last phone I had to do a lot more to get comfortable with the software, but on this newer version I barely have to think about how I ought to organize my personal data on it. ❤️

It has a barometer… I… I have a built in barometer called RA, but having one in a phone is just cool. This thing is Inspector Gadget! Finger print reader in the on/off button, the cameras are insanely good, the battery lasts a considerable amount longer than I thought it would. And it has more features than my computer. It did install I think 16 of its own apps while updating itself with all the new features, due to it sitting in a box since 2023. Most of the new features will never be used, but I love how far this tech has come. For reference, I upgraded to this from a Schok55 phone, which is a lobotomized can on a string. It’s battery has been cooking off so I figured it’s time. While I’d love to see this with a micro SD card slot, its 512 gig on board memory is more than I’ll ever need. I purchased the phone+case+3 pieces of screen cover combo suggested just under the description. Well worth it.

This is my second Motorola Edge 2022 with the exact specifications. I went swimming with my old one in the lake and whoops you guessed it —failed. My mistake I had it in my pocket and forgot. Anyway this phone works very well given the specifications (RAM, ROM, Camera PIxel quality etc…) that I can use adequately for everyday use. So I bought another one. It is as good as the first and I would buy it again if need be. By the way after putting in zip lock bag with Rice for two days and leaving it to dry out the old wet phone works again!!! Camera lens still has some condensation on it but the phone is working fine. So…you can see why this is a five star review. I wouldn’t recommend getting it wet however, but am very happy with the phone. I have also dropped it from a sitting position and it didn’t crack or break the front cover. But would recommend an otter box for it anyway. I like motorola brand and this is my fourth Motorola Android phone over the years. This model is my favorite so far, although not the most robust or powerful (6/128Gb). The Battery life on this model is great. This 2022 model is the year they improved the battery capacity and can get easily two days with it. So I do recommend it highly. If you want high RAM power or storage capacity with the latest bells and whistles this maybe is not the one for you, but for an all around dependable phone I love it.
