It’s a fridge with a separate freezer compartment, and it does what is is supposed to do–keep things cold! It’s a beautiful appliance that runs well and has excellent ratings, so I am happy with this purchase. But now for the complaints, such as they are. I didn’t realize it is made to let condensation run down the inside back of the fridge into a drain. English major! I don’t understand the mechanics of it or what happens to that water once it goes down the drain. You can’t push things on the shelves all the way to the back wall, or it will block this water flow and it may freeze on whatever is in the way. That is a little annoying, but as long as you pay attention, it shouldn’t be a problem. I don’t usually drink from aluminum cans or 2L bottles, so I have cheese and produce in the door racks. The door shelf in the freezer is tiny–don’t expect to put anything thicker than a frozen individual entree in it, or maybe a stick of butter. Warning labels on the appliance caution against poking the device with anything sharp or trying to service it yourself, stating that it uses an explosive chemical. I assume that is the new norm since Freon has been outlawed–because explosive refrigerators are better than… whatever. Since I don’t plan on tinkering with it or poking it with an ice pick, I think I’ll be okay.Otherwise, for a compact fridge, the freezer is a really good size–almost 1 cubic foot. The freezer will have to be defrosted eventually, but since it is separate from the fridge, that shouldn’t be nearly as often as other compact refrigerators. It comes with a dinky ice tray which is good for testing the temperature in the freezer and not much else, plus a small plastic ice scraper. The temperature control is just one dial for both the fridge and the freezer compartments, so you have to turn off the whole appliance to defrost the freezer. I haven’t owned it long enough to defrost it yet.The capacity is pretty good. In addition to the door items, I currently have about 5 lbs of apples in the produce drawer, 5 lbs of potatoes on the shelf above that, and various smaller items on top (including an ice-encrusted orange that rolled back into the freezing wall fountain). This would be good for use in a dorm, office, or tiny home, or for use by a single person who doesn’t cook much. So, those are the pros and cons. Overall, I think the positives outweigh the negatives, and I think I’ll continue to be happy with this as time goes by. Watch the price, which can fluctuate within just a few hours.

This is a good dorm minifridge. The freezer keeps things frozen, the fridge keeps things cold, and I don’t have to use the overstuffed communal fridges in the kitchen. It’s big enough to hold quite a bit of food, yet small enough to fit well in my ~200 sq ft dorm room. Highly recommended for any college student who wants/needs to cook for themself.Noise level: Quieter than I was expecting, makes a little humming noise. I have auditory processing disorder, so repetitive/constant noises drive me up the wall, but I’m really happy with this fridge. If the noise does bother you, it’s definitely quiet enough to cover up with a fan or soft background music. The shelves and drawer in the fridge are good sizes/spaced well for me, but if you don’t like the shelf you can take it out. The sizes of the door compartments are kind of weird, especially since I don’t drink soda so don’t use the soda can rack. If you’re willing to apply a little duct tape, though, you can do a lot with it. I kind of wish the freezer had a shelf so I could make ice more conveniently, but turning a mesh 8.5×11 paper tray upside down would solve that problem. The ice cube tray that comes with the fridge is really tiny, which I also like, since the ice cubes fit in my water bottles this way. The fridge also comes with an ice scraper, which I haven’t used on the fridge, but have used on my window when it iced up earlier this winter.I’ve only had one actual issue with this fridge so far: when it got to me, one of the leveling feet had cracked during shipping, so it didn’t sit level. A little duct tape fixed that right up and now I have no problem. It’s a really minor issue but I wanted this to be a comprehensive review.Overall, this was the perfect fridge for me. If you’re looking for a dorm minifridge I’d recommend getting this one since it has a good-sized freezer with a separate door, but if you don’t really need a freezer and just want people to stop taking stuff you put in the fridge, consider getting a different minifridge without a freezer. It cost around $150 when I bought it, so if the price is significantly higher when you read this, I’d recommend waiting for it to go down.

I read the reviews and tried using my Jedi skills to see if I could figure out which reviews were fake and which were real. Whether I was tight or wrong, I don’t know. However, I purchased this fridge and am so happy with my choice. I really wanted a double door. The noise level and interior design were not my first concern. Durability and dependability were. I have only had it for a couple of weeks now, but it is perfect for me. I wanted to have ice and water bottles close at hand and now I do. It came in a box that, were it not for the plastic straps, would have had the bottom fall out. But no damage. To be on the safe side, I set it up without plugging it in and let it sit for 48 hours. It’s quiet. So quiet. It holds a lot of water bottles. Yes, the interior design could be better for me. A shelf instead of a crisper drawer and a removable soda holder would address my needs better, but you can rarely have everything perfect. The fridge is in a carpeted room so I added some accessories. A heavy duty shelf to lift it off the floor and a rubber drip tray, just in case of leakage. I put sliders under the legs to minimize the indentations in the carpet. The fridge has plenty of breathing room on both sides and in the back. The temp has stayed great, very cold. My bags of ice stay perfect. There is a little frost build up on the freezer ceiling and sides after 2 weeks, which isn’t great as I really only access the freezer during a 3 or 4 hour period in the evening. I imagine that the build up would be more if it was accessed more often. All in all I am happy with my purchase and recommend this fridge.Update. Have had this a year now and still very happy with my choice. No problems.

Delivered, upright…in perfect shape for a heavy package (Well packaged in original manuf. boxing-only)….I let the fridge unit rest for 24 hours (Important-you have no idea if it was laid horizontally during shipping!). Fits perfect between my kitchen countertop end and dining area. Plugged in and working great to chill my necessities — beer and water…I fit 16 miller lite bottles, 18 water bottles, a red bull, 12 oz lime and 1 litre Soda in the fridge!!! Be sure to not allow anything in the fridge to touch the back wall or it will freeze! Hopefully, without an automatic frost-free feature – the unit will not to be difficult to maintain.Important!! — Stack bottled beer starting from the bottom right of the shelf (against thermostat control) as indicated in my first picture and carefully place the next layer starting from the left of the last beer below –> to avoid broken bottles!Appears to be high quality stainless steel doors- matches my other stainless appliances perfectly. Freezer is well sized – Definitely better to have 2 doors – I like to easily slip a beer or two from the fridge into the freezer door shelf for about 20 minutes and then serve Ice Cold!It would be nice if the power cord was an additional 1-2 feet, but mostly ample.I was searching for a small refrigerator/freezer with a built in icemaker, but they were ridiculous expensive. I ordered an inexpensive Stainless Steel countertop icemaker– $119.99 Euhomy Ice Maker –> to set on top of the fridge unit. Very convenient to access the ice tray at counter-top level above the fridge unit and makes ice fast….I will follow up with a more thorough review.

I saw reviews saying this broke after a week and I saw some saying to leave it standing straight for one day before plugging it in. So to be EXTRA careful I let it sit for two days then plugged it in. I got it in August and its been working great. The freezer is a amazing size it can fit everything I need inside of it. the fridge size is perfect I can fit all my snacks, meals, and drinks. The noise is usually pretty silent it only makes noise when you open it and then makes noise for ten minutes at most. Both the fridge and freezer do ice up so you will have to scrape the ice every now and then. lasty DO NOT let anything touch the very back of the inside of the fridge otherwise it will freeze. Overall it was a great purchase and I highly recommended it.

With all that is going on right now with the pandemic I wanted to get an extra small fridge just in case we needed to stock up or our other fridge broke down. I was looking for something a little bigger than a typical dorm room fridge and this one I thought was great for a really reasonable price (I paid just under $200)I decided to get the black one because while I have stainless in our kitchen it’s constantly smudged and I thought the black would be better. After reading the reviews about dented items, I was nervous but mine arrived in perfect condition. It comes in a box with a ton of foam to cushion it so it has to be really thrown around to get bashed in like that. One thing that would have been nice is if they had put unpacking instructions on the outside of the box but I figured out that I needed to peel the paper away rather than trying to turn it sideways. I probably should have brought it to the basement and then unboxed it so I’d suggest moving it where you want. There are some sharp edges at the bottom and when we lifted it to carry it down the stairs I put a small scratch in my wood floor. So be careful of that.I took the advice of some reviewers and let it sit overnight before plugging it it. FYI the instructions are inside in the drawer. I could not see the booklet because it had plastic around it that just looked like padding. Not much in there but it does tell you how to set the temp. It comes with a small ice tray. When I plugged it in the next day it started right off and was super quiet. I put some water in the ice tray and a couple hours later I went down to check and it was mostly frozen.I really love that this has a separate fridge and freezer. Also the freezer is a good enough size that you could keep a few things in there. Also I like that there is a drawer in the fridge portion. It’s perfect. You can also take the drawer out if you want to. I think I could put a medium sized turkey in there to thaw. It’s really roomy. The compressor is located at the bottom in the back. That is completely open, but be aware that it cuts into the space inside the very bottom of the fridge.I am really happy with my purchase and feel confident recommending this to anyone in need of a small fridge. Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks

Summing up — This well-designed, well-built, attractive compact fridge is unbelievably quiet, has a great layout, especially of the door, and delivers way beyond its price. Good insulation and premium door seals make it very economical in use.CAUTION — Remember to let your refrigerator sit for 24 hours before first use after installation. This essential step is to let all refrigerant drain to the bottom. Your fridge may have been transported on its side or, in my case, upside down. The separate freezer compartment gets very cold, close to zero degrees Fahrenheit even at medium settings. Such a low temperature would be impossible to achieve in a single door design. The tradeoff here is that you give up some space. The glass shelves look elegant and are well thought out. The door seals are so good that defrosting comes down to maybe once a year.(And applying an occasional light coat of vaseline on the door seals will help them last longer.)The lower door can hold regular bottles unlike so many of today’s compact refrigerator doors that only take canned soft drinks. This makes this particular refrigerator ideal for the kitchen, studio apartment or college dorm. The door hinges can be moved to the left side as I had to do.Finally, it is so quiet that you have to hold your ear close to hear it run.It comes unusually well packaged in a sturdy box, virtually eliminating the chance of damage during transport. This company cares!Energy Star-certified, energy consumption of this fridge is estimated at 220 kWh per year, $35 or so depending on where you live. Power draw is 80 Watts, but remember it runs at a low duty cycle. Actual cost varies with temperature, humidity, and how often you open it.Update 1/24 — This fridge looks and acts like new even after three years of continuous use in my little kitchen. ‘Thrilled with this purchase.

Purchased March-2015Had single door refrigerator in the past and was unhappy with freezer. Double door is the way to go.ProsFreezer:Keeps Ice Cream FrozenFreezes IceAdequate SpaceRefrigerator:Generous SpaceKeeps all my items cold (Ex: water, cold drinks, milk, salad, pudding, jello, cheese, mediation)QuietOver all look very pleasingCons:Inside of refrigerator door/can rack-hard to get cans outCareful-If you put items too far back in refrigerator they will freezeFrost/Ice in freezer/droplets back wall in refrigerator (see tip below)Tip-The frost/Ice in freezer and droplets back wall in refrigerator has not been an issue for me. This is what I have been doing and it so far has worked great. I have not had to defrost at all. Once a week I use the scraper sent with the Midea and scrap down the freezer, I then usemicrofiber cloth to wipe all the ice particles out. Only takes a couple of minutes. When I see droplets building up on the refrigerator back wall same thing. I use the scraper to scrap off the droplets and the microfiber cloth to wipe out. When I received my Midea refrigerator it was packed very well, there was a small ding in the back but it didn’t look like it was a problem. After unpacking and setting it up I let it sit 24 hours before plugging it in to let it settle from transit. Will try to remember to update as time goes by. This is my first review, I hope it helps someone.
