Build: feels sturdy enough. Part of why I needed an upgrade was my old laptop has two small hinges, and one side broke to the point that it was pulling the plastic around the screen every times I opened or closed it, and was bending/wearing on the screen itself. The laptop was a refurb and lasted many years, but nonetheless it was unfortunate to see a laptop become so unusable as a laptop from a simple hinge problem. This computer has one long hinge that should hopefully hold up better. Overall kind of looks like a 17” PC version of a MacBook. There is some give/softness in the body when opening and closing but nothing that worries me too much if you treat your machines with respect.Display: 1080p and is “antiglare” aka matte. This was a big selling point for me. I don’t like glossy screens where half of what you see is reflections of things behind you, and renders the laptop almost useless outside. It gets bright enough to use outside on a sunny day.Keyboard: full size with number pad, which was another selling point for me. Not the best keyboard I’ve used, but quite respectable for a laptop. It is also the backlight which I was looking for, however it has an interesting feature where the backlight will turn off when not in use for a while, then turn back on when you start using the keyboard again. Interesting feature that I haven’t seen before. Not sure how I feel about it, since I would like the control of just having the backlight on, but it makes sense to be able to have the keyboard dim while watching something then light back up when you use it again. I would not be shocked if this feature can be toggled I just have not looked hard enough yet.Connectivity: Despite the description near the top of the page at the time I bought this, there is no RJ-45 port. However, I knew this when I bought the computer, as the images make it quite apparent that there is not one. I provided feedback to Amazon/seller about this. Nonetheless, as a daily driver it has enough to offer. Two USB-A for the basics, an HDMI port, and a USB-C that is quite zippy. I bought a USB-C hub/adaptor (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B56Q8KXR) that expands the port into 3 more USB-A ports and adds an RJ-45. When I plugged in to the RJ-45 to my router on a gigabit connection it did indeed pull the whole gigabit (934 Mbps) with both up and down ping of equal to or less than 5 ms. The Wi-Fi 6 is plenty fast with a compatible router. My WiFi *5 NOT 6* pulled 643 Mbps with pings equal to or less than 10 ms. For a daily driver I would find this quite adequate and would probably only pull out the adaptor to plug in to RJ-45 in certain scenarios where security or stability are of utmost importance.Performance: Can’t complain. I got the 1TB SSD with 32GB DDR4 RAM. Sure it is not DDR5, but I am not gaming, video editing/compiling, etc. It runs multiple daily driver applications simultaneously with ease. Specs report a bay to add a 2.5” drive if one so desires. Boots quickly and is plenty fast enough for daily driving and even some more resource intensive tasks. Couldn’t really ask for more for the price.Software: Came with Windows 11 Pro. This is my first computer with Win 11 and honestly most of my frustrations and/or learning curve is in the OS and is not the fault of manufacturing. But it is the latest so that hopefully means security support from Microsoft for a while.

Can’t beat this seller

It appeared that the laptop ordered did not have the Nvidia type indicated by seller description. Windows system info for the display just indicated an Intel graphics adapter. After reviewing the device manager indicates the Nvidia adapter is installed. My apologies to Hoyt Tech Geeks. They do deliver very quickly.
