I was looking for a decent wireless Xbox type controller for the PC. I’ve been using the old Microsoft 2.4GHz transmitter with Xbox360 controllers but you can’t get those anymore. Decided to try this model as it has hall effect triggers and sticks. Tried to force pair it with the Microsoft transmitter but no dice. I didn’t expect it to, and it has its own transmitter so not an issue. PC recognized the transmitter and controller paired automatically. Man this controller feels smooooth. Played several hours of Helldivers 2 and it performed flawlessly. D pad input is more precise than my 360 controllers. The RGB lights are a cute bonus. I will probably get another, nicer model from this brand in the future!

Works with my Insignia Fire TV to play on Luna. Connected through both bluetooth and the included receiver (only one is necessary) with no lag. There is a bit of a deadzone but you can adjust it a little through controller functions. Also very easy to change the lighting and vibration settings. The controller is a little lighter than I’m used to, but I’m coming from an xbox one controller with a battery pack. Got it for under twenty bucks and hopefully it lasts me a while.

It feels well-made.The joystick and trigger feel as good as any official controller, NS Pro, etc.The button might be a bit soft, but considering this price point, I wouldn’t complain about it.The feel of vibration is excellent and better than I expected.I will use it for few more days and I’m considering buying another one.

While it’s not up to the standards of first party controllers and pricier ‘pro’ controllers, Hall Effect sensors have become a popular feature to avoid the pitfalls of many of these controllers, as they don’t suffer the dreaded ‘stick drift’ that plagues controllers even several times this price. For ~$20, to get a fairly solid wireless controller that functions perfectly well across Switch and PC systems on Bluetooth, wireless (with included USB dongle) and wired with Hall Effect sensors and even RGB, is a pretty strong proposition.I have some pretty nice controllers sitting around, so my complaints are coming from a place of much more refined hardware. If you want the basics, this controller should do fine for you. Everything works well enough that this controller won’t actively hold you back in games. The buttons are a bit mushy, but they are firm enough with their feedback and not hard to use. The D-pad is especially so, having the classic problem of tilting up/down too easily when pressing left/right and vice versa. But there seems to be just the right level of force necessary to actuate the buttons even when it’s nudging off-axis, so you don’t get a lot of accidental diagonal presses. It feels like it should be pressing the wrong direction, but unless you actually move your thumb that way, it usually doesn’t.As for the sticks and triggers, they’re good. Motion is smooth and responds pretty consistently. It takes a bit more force to get the sticks moving than I like, but they are silky and easy to work with. The analog triggers feel good as well, and the bumpers have a nice, soft tactile bump that I wish the face buttons could have had. These are the best parts of the controller, for sure.I was not able to activate the function listed in the instruction manual which changes the dead zone and joystick circle/square settings. There is a way to update the controller’s firmware so that may be how you’re meant to gain access to those settings. Still, it’s annoying to have to wrangle a firmware updater program before the controller will do what the physical manual printed out for it tells you it can do. My game software is showing that, when pressed in certain directions, the analog sticks do not fully reach the end of the circle, maybe somewhere around 95%. While the option to turn on the ‘square’ analog stick shape would likely rectify this, if you are unable to get the firmware updated yourself, it is possible that some occasional games may have issues, expecting the stick to be pressed slightly farther than it is physically able to.

I have recently gotten into using controllers like this one for specific PC games. Let me first mention that I am a mouse and keyboard gamer. I do not care for consoles and struggle to use controllers because my thumbs were designed to click only the spacebar. Certain games, however, are not made for a mouse and keyboard. With that said, one particular game I play works better with a controller. I previously used a different brand (rhymes with MSGuy) and it worked well for that particular game. However, this controller blew the other more expensive one out of the water, in my opinion. It has a more premium feel and just seems to work better. It uses Hall effect sensors and provides better control than the other controller I use. It’s also has an option to use 2.4 works, cable connection, or Bluetooth. My other controller uses 2.4 and requires a dongle to connect it or a wired connection. Many times my other controller seems to lag a little but I did not see this issue with this one…even using BT. This is a huge win in my opinion. This controller also comes with additional thumb stick pads that make it so much easier to control. They look like soccer ball’s…which themes well with the game that I’m currently playing (rhymes with Socket League). These pads are a little cumbersome to install as they have to compel envelope the whole top part of the thumb stick. I found that by turning it inside out and then placing it on the thumb stick seemed to help me get it over the lip and snug around it.All in all, this is a really, really good controller and I don’t see me going back to the other controller I have any time soon.

I am so impressed with this 3rd party controller. It has all of the connectivity options I need in one package with an easy way to switch between them using a very handy physical switch on the back (so much better than having to remember to turn it on while holding down specific button). I mainly use this for my Nintendo Switch and my computer, but like that I can use it with any of my iOS and Android devices should I need to in the future. On the Nintendo Switch, this performs like a champ – it pairs easily and reconnects just like a Nintendo controller, but keep in mind that the face buttons use the X-Box standard layout for the labels, but they behave like they are in the Nintendo layout. Easy enough to address if it really bothers you by changing up the mapping in the system settings so the buttons match the labels, but they won’t be in the Nintendo default layout so your muscle memory will get pretty confused if use different controllers. Responsiveness is exactly the same as the OEM controllers and I don’t notice any additional latency compared to the Nintendo controllers. There is also built in rumble support that you can adjust intensity directly on the controller. No motion controls or gyro though, but that isn’t something I use a whole lot anyhow. This also has added features for adjustable Turbo modes and cool looking ambient lights around the analog sticks that can be configured directly on the controller with a combination of buttons (refer to the manual – too much for me to memorize).Overall, at this price of under $30, it’s already a great deal for an extra controller and that much better when you can get it on sale. I hope high quality controllers like this somehow put downward price pressure on the ridiculously priced 1st party controllers.

I recently got my hands on the EasySMX X05 Wireless Gaming Controller, and I have to say, it has exceeded my expectations in many ways! This versatile controller is compatible with PC, Steam, iPhone, Android, and even the Switch, making it a fantastic all-in-one solution for my gaming needs. One of the standout features is the Hall Effect technology, which provides smooth and precise control without the common issues of joystick drift. This has significantly improved my gaming experience, especially when playing demanding games like Black Myth: Wukong. The anti-drift feature ensures that I can focus on my gameplay without worrying about erratic movements. The RGB lights add a fun aesthetic touch, making my gaming setup feel more vibrant and engaging. I appreciate that the lighting can be customized, allowing me to match it to my mood or the game I’m playing. The controller feels solid and well-built in hand, with an ergonomic design that makes extended gaming sessions comfortable. The buttons are responsive, and I particularly like the turbo function, which is a great addition for fast-paced games.Connecting the controller via Bluetooth was a breeze, and I experienced minimal lag during gameplay, which is crucial for competitive gaming. The battery life is impressive as well, allowing me to game for hours without needing to recharge frequently.Overall, the EasySMX X05 Wireless Gaming Controller is an excellent investment for any gamer looking for a reliable, feature-packed controller that works across multiple platforms. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to enhance their gaming experience!

I’m impressed. I tested this out on my Steamdeck, since that’s where I planned on using it most anyway. I’m impressed. What I liked:1. The hall effect sticks and trigger buttons are so smooth! They just glide and are super responsive. The amount of resistance on both feels great.2. The design is akin to the Nintendo Switch Pro controller, which reigns as my favorite controller of all consoles.3. The ability to program the RGB around the two sticks is nice.4. I love that it comes with the 2.4ghz USB adapter (be aware, it’s USB-A, not C).5. I love that switchintg between Nintendo Switch, Bluetooth, and 2.4ghz are all done with a switch on the back. Very convenient.6. I like that the feel is similar to Nintendo’s, just slightly lighter and a little less premium feeling. I have other brands of 3rd party controllers that are also a little more hefty and substantial. That’s not a knock on this one, but this one doesn’t feel as heavy and dense as those. The pricepoint, is the biggest thing. At $29, you can’t get this much controller with this much quality that easily, and while it isn’t the best controller I’ve ever used in feeling, it performs great, the sticks and triggers will never develop drift, and every possible connectivity option is built in.Overall, you won’t go wrong with this one, even if you just keep it as a spare. Mine, however, will travel with me and my Steamdeck :)UPDATE: Welp, I got another one. Why? Because I like it that much. It’s really a solid controller with a lot of great features. You can never have too many controllers in your arsenal and I was happy to get another one of these.

My 14 year old prefers PC gaming but likes to use the xbox controller, so he’s constantly swiping the xbox controllers and then failing to recharge them. The 10 year old then complains that none of the controllers work. I ordered the EasySMX X05 2.4g Wireless Controller for PC to put an end to this cycle. For a $30 controller, I am impressed with the build quality and capabilities of this controller. It feels solid in the hand – not cheap and plastic like lesser controllers I’ve tried in the past. The joysticks, buttons, and triggers all feel good too. I like that it supports BT but also comes with a wireless dongle. The package includes a user manual, USB dongle, USB C cable, and two soccer ball themed rocker caps. I was able to use the USB dongle to connect the controller to my son’s gaming PC. There is a tiny switch on the back of the controller for switching connection types. But the labels for the switch are impossible to read for my middle aged eyes. I used trial and error to find the right setting. The real test will be when my 14 year old uses it next week. So far, I’m impressed and quite happy with this, especially for the price.

This is a no frills controller that has great rumble feedback and a tight response. The buttons and sticks have a very smooth and fluid feel to them, probably the best I’ve seen on a controller in quite some time. And its black/gray/pink color scheme looks fantastic. This one also has more lighting modes than others I’ve used. I can set the LED color, pattern, and intensity to whatever I prefer. This is ideal for those times when I’m playing games in a dark environment. Last but not least, a customizable turbo function rounds out the list of useful features this gamepad offers. This kit comes with instructions, a charging cable, and a bonus set of thumbstick caps. It also includes a USB receiver for those who want a quick plug and play connection. I chose to sync mine through wireless Bluetooth, which was really easy to do. This controller has a decent runtime when fully charged. So far I’ve been getting at least five hours between charges, but I’m sure the battery would last much longer if I continued playing until it ran out of power. Considering quality, features, and price, I really feel this is one of the best options out there for Steam and standalone PC games.
