I recently bought the ASUS TUF Gaming VG247Q1A, and I couldn’t be more happier with my purchase! This monitor delivers an exceptional gaming experience at an unbeatable price. Here’s why it deserves all five stars:1. Stunning Visuals: The 23.8-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920×1080) provides crystal-clear visuals that make games look vibrant and immersive. The colors are rich, and the contrast is excellent, which really enhances the overall gaming experience.2. Ultra-Smooth Gameplay: With a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, this monitor ensures that fast-paced games run buttery smooth. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in motion clarity and reduced input lag, which gives me a competitive edge in FPS games.3. Adaptive-Sync Technology: The inclusion of Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync Premium) eliminates screen tearing and stuttering, ensuring seamless gameplay. Whether I’m playing on a high-end gaming rig or a console, the performance is consistently smooth.4. Ergonomic Design: The monitor’s design is both sleek and functional. The adjustable stand allows me to find the perfect viewing angle, and the overall build quality feels robust and durable. The slim bezels also add a modern touch to my gaming setup.5. Value for Money: Considering the features packed into this monitor, it’s a steal for its price. You get top-notch performance and reliability without breaking the bank. ASUS has really nailed the balance between quality and affordability with this model.Overall, the ASUS TUF Gaming VG247Q1A is a phenomenal choice for gamers looking for a high-performance monitor without the premium price tag. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to elevate their gaming experience!

I picked these 27 inch monitors up for about $166 each. Love the picture quality, but takes quite a longer for these to “boot up” than my older HP and LG monitors. My HP turned on as soon as my computer was powered on while the LG took about 5 seconds, these take around 20.I understand this is due to the type and quality of the displays, which are way superior to either of my older monitors, but it seems my system takes longer to get to the desktop with these monitors and that is a bit frustrating. However, having two matching monitors with awesome graphics, colors, and refresh rates is worth the wait. Both my older monitors ran at 60hz whereas these run at 165hz. My Hp was DVI and my LG HDMI, these run DP. I wonder if this could account for the longer load time? IDK.Next, the controls are on the back of the right edge of the monitor, which is cool, kind of. They are large so easy to get to and use, however, running 2 monitors butted up against each other makes it difficult to get to the controls of the left monitor. Which means you have to move the monitor to adjust it then you get to mess with the alignment of both monitors to get the screens realigned…… which is a real chore because….These monitors are hyper positional. They rotate, tilt, swivel, go up and down, pretty much any position or angle you want with great ease, which is great for getting them just right…… but can be a booger when trying to get two of them perfectly aligned. But once you get the set up perfect, they are sleek, sexy, and have gorgeous graphics, perfect in every way……… until you need to adjust the controls on that left monitor again…..All in all, great monitors for a great price would highly recommend. Just understand that setting up a dual, or more, monitor system can take extra time. But it is worth it in the end.

It’s a 165hz monitor. It’s large at 27in, anything bigger would really start to look bad at 1080p and up close. Works well, the base is sturdy and height is adjustable. Always inspect for dead pixels and other issues when having a tv or monitor shipped to you, use the Amazon Prime A-Z returns guarantee promptly because most companies now have policies where they will not replace a monitor if it has only one or two dead pixels. Amazon has their guarantee though so go through them first if you can.Only minor downside with this monitor is it came out of the package with poor picture settings. I had to tinker with the settings way more with this one than with any other one I ever had prior by a long shot but this is again a minor downside. Once you get it dialed in you won’t have to deal with it again. I started by choosing a preset setting that looked closest to how I had my old monitor was set up and then went from there. Expect this process to take a day or two as you adjust it to your surroundings and your eyes. For me brightness had to be toned down quite a lot, and the Trace Free setting needs to be dropped to 40 or below otherwise you will have ghosting/blurring issues with text when scrolling or browsing online. This is an issue I never knew about because I never had a monitor that could go faster than 60hz, so hopefully I save someone some time on that.It has actual buttons you have to press in, not those crappy tactile sensors you touch on accident and the monitor shuts off. Color quality is not quite as good as an IPS screen but it’s still very good, the higher refresh rate makes up for the barely noticeable loss in color and if you take the time with your settings you will never notice it. Viewing angle is much larger than any of my previous Acer IPS monitors (but those were in a completely different price range at either $90 or $120 for 22in and 24in) and my wife has no problems looking at something on my screen even from a very oblique angle.Very happy with this purchase as long as the monitor doesn’t break down. I care for my equipment and protect it with quality surge protectors, proper maintenance and cleaning etc. I still have computers and monitors from the early 90’s working in my basement. The only reason things die on me is hardware fault from the manufacturer such as a bad solder working loose on it’s own or age-related stress such as fan bearings getting old and hard-drives which are essentially time bombs holding your data hostage. I will take proper care of this monitor and will update this review in the future if there are any problems or give an update if it’s still running as it should.

Have had this monitor for 2 years. I use it for both my pc and Xbox. I will evaluate how it looks on both of those separately.Pc: the colors are vibrant and consistent with both games and media consumption. I even use it to type things and the words do not look blurry. I haven’t noticed any ghosting or tearing with any of the games I play. For context play apex, Valorant and rpg games. They all look amazing. The only issue I have is the built in speakers. They’re very low even when at max volume so I suggest using a mic and connecting ur earbuds to that or using the headphone Jack on the monitor.Xbox: I have noticed ghosting when I watch Netflix or any videos I have no idea why but I’m gonna assume it’s bc Xbox caps things at 60fps. The image can be blurry at times with media consumption even if my net and such is fine. Games tho, those seem fine. Again Xbox caps at 60fps but I haven’t noticed tearing or ghosting when I play my console games. The colors look nice and consistent too. There is a difference in how the contrast, and richness of the colors look on xbox vs pc.I’d recommend this monitor for people with a pc since on Xbox the colors aren’t as bright and rich but they don’t look terrible. If on console I’d say use it for games only and not any media. For pc, I love it for everything.Price: I bought this in 2021 and it was $266 including taxes. I’d say it was worth it since it’s still going strong and I haven’t a dead pixel or anything go wrong with it.I will say, the panels are inconsistent. I bought my brother one two months after I made my purchase and his panel looked blurry and not rich in color. I’d say I got lucky and got one with a good panel. So it’s a 50/50 chance you’ll get a good one or a bad one.

This is an amazing gaming monitor. Good quality it always looks very clear and vivid. There’s also a lot of cool settings and features. The gameplay is always fast and reliable. It’s a good monitor for competitive ranked games like call of duty. I would love to review more monitors like this. Thank you

Personally this is the best monitor I have had. I like all the options in the on screen menus. Feels good for FPS games. For the lowest delay and best smoothness overall is: vsync on, gsync on(amd freesync), reflex enabled ultra+boost (amd enable anti-lag)This will give lowest possible input delay while also minimizing ghosting. It is really good for CS2 for example.

This monitor works well as the “desktop” side in a two monitor setup with a higher res/ ASUS on the left side. The controls are different than the others but will get used to them soon enough.I now have a replacement unit. The first one developed a intermittent small red dot on the center. When I called ASUS/Amazon, rather than spend time trying to track the problem, they offered to sen a replacement which arrived the next day. Have the first one packaged and ready to return.Pleased with the product and the service.
