Battery isn’t good but use mostly as a desktop, really powerful laptop for the price, just throw another 8gbs of ram in her and ur good to go!! Also wait for the deals I think I got it for $600

Perfect for simple PC gaming (Fortnite/ Roblox/ Minecraft ) got it for my son for his BDAY and it works great with good features , haven’t pushed it with a big game but I’m sure it would work good

This PC has everything I wanted/needed for my gaming. Also the value is great for what you get.

I work in IT for a living, so I will write my review based on both consumer and expert analysis. From the more expert side, this is an overall solid budget laptop. The battery life is abysmal, admittedly, but with more powerful hardware I wasn’t expecting a half day or anything. But even playing more lightweight games kills the battery in under 2 hours. While you’re probably not going to be doing much if any gaming while not connected to AC, it’s still good information to have. A removable battery would have been nice for a laptop of this type. From the upgradability side, I’m happy to report that this can have both memory and storage upgraded. Too many manufacturers are soldering these components in now, so it was nice to see i can upgrade (and with a default 8GB of memory, you’ll want to do so).The screen is crisp and the refresh rate of 144hz is very nice for a laptop. It makes the gaming experience that much better, especially in fast paced games and first person shooters. The ports, keyboard, and touchpad are all adequate. Nothing negative, nothing that stands out. But one thing that does annoy me is the barrel charging adapter. Instead of going with USB-C for charging, they went with a proprietary barrel connector. I’ve had bad experiences with this styling outside of Dell, especially when the port gets bumped or moved too much. Hopefully the board that houses the barrel isn’t soldered directly to the main board, as that is an expensive issue should it failRegarding the weight, it’s a gaming laptop. It’s heavy and bulky, but you expect this from a gaming laptop. The matte finish isn’t anything show stopping, but if you care about function over form then you’ll not care in the slightest about the aesthetics. I know I don’t. The graphics card performs quite well, even with some games at ultra. While Skyrim is an older game, I was able to max out the settings and still have a great frame rate.If I find any games in particular seem to cause this laptop unusual issues, I’ll update the review. But, as it stands, this is a great budget laptop with upgradability. The only major qualms, in summary, are the barrel style AC adapter and the battery life. It also does tend to run a bit hotter when being pushed hard, which tells me the cooling may be slightly inadequate. I may opt to run some fans underneath to keep it a bit cooler when going more extreme gaming.

This is a nice entry-level gaming laptop, although I am using it mostly for other purposes. It has 3 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C port, but I would have preferred more USB-C ports and fewer of the USB-A. On the ANV15-41 model the USB-C port is labeled “USB Type C port with DC-in”. I assumed this meant it could also be charged through the USB-C port, but when I tried charging it that way it failed. Upon reading the User Manual concerning the USB ports I found this “DC-in: requires power adapter or power source providing 65 W at 20 V.” I will try again if I get a suitable charger. The battery life is good, at least for non-gaming applications. There is a setting in NitroSense to limit battery charging to 80% of capacity, this results in less stress on the battery for longer battery life. The laptop fans are quiet, except during gaming. I have been using this for a couple of months now, and it seems to be a solid performer for everything I have used it for.I would recommend going to the Acer website and downloading both the User Manual and the Lifecycle Extension Guide for the ANV15-41. The Lifecycle Extension Guide gives detailed explanations, with pictures, of how to replace various components such as the battery pack, DIMMs, WLAN module, and USB board, among others.I am very happy with this laptop and it is a good value for those on a budget.

A nice economic level gaming computer. Packed full of some great features and specs it will be better than your average laptop for gaming, but still has some limitations. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy the laptop, was excited to be able to get it, and am happy with it for my needs.I don’t do a whole lot of gaming, but can appreciate great graphics and increased speed/processing capabilities.I also enjoy and feel I need a larger screen in a laptop. Even if it’s not for gaming purposes, and just for getting some work down, editing photos, working with PowerPoint, etc., a larger screen like this works well for me and this one is bright and displays well. There are plenty of ports as well. A total of 3 standard USB ports, including at least one on each side, a type C USB port, and Ethernet port, and An HDMI port.My small gripes are probably fairly common ones. The battery life isn’t the best if you are actually gonna heavily game and while there are good options for ports, I really don’t understand why major brands like Acer haven’t gotten on board with making their power supply a type C plug. If they did this, they could offer two type C ports and add more flexibility to the laptop.Other than that, I’m very happy overall with the laptop. While it’s been a while, I’ve had Acer computers before and have always found them to be a good value and pack in great features for their price points, and this one is in line with that.

I’ve been a fan of the nitro series ever since I bought its 2060 variant on sale- they’re fairly budget, but fairly solid little gaming machines you can often pick up on sale. The 4050 variant I picked up is no different- although I’d suggest you get the 4060 version unless the price is just beyond your reach. I will say, the 8gb this ships with is a bit underpowered, it is fairly easy to changeout however. If you do not have a standard PC tech kit, you can use a basic small Phillips and oddly some old credit cards. Take out the screws, use the credit cards to pop the two pieces apart and you can easily access the memory and SSD and upgrade this into a much more capable machine. The base machine is still capable of e-sports titles, but jumping it to 16 or 32gb of ram will get you MUCH better results for not too much money. Adding a cooling stand will also net you a bit more performance at the expense of noise. Just shop smart and happy gaming!

This is a very nice laptop for the price. I’m still working at getting my desired software installed, but so far there have been no issues. The screen is excellent. The speakers are surprisingly good. I’m not a huge fan of laptop keyboards in general, but the one on this feels pretty good. It doesn’t have RGB. White backlight only. I appreciate that it includes a number pad. The touchpad is ok though not great. I usually use a mouse though. There are a good selection of ports including a Thunderbolt type C if you needed more for some reason. It has integrated graphics on the CPU as well as the separate 4050 which allows for longer battery times. I’ve had no issues with the latter. The fans are relatively quiet when doing basic productivity work. They do kick up when gaming and the 4050 takes over. Overall it feels well built. It’s not as rock solid as one with metal case, but then it’s nowhere near as expensive. There was minimal bloatware. The one slight downside is it only comes with 8 gigs of ram. Easy and cheap enough to add another stick, but it would have been worth an extra $20 to have it with 16gigs to begin with. I’ll likely upgrade that and may add a second m.2 SSD since there is space for one though the 512GB drive it comes with is likely going to be fine for my use. If you were going to use this as a desktop replacement you’d definitely want to do both. About the looks I’ll just say it’s understated and would look perfectly professional in an office. Make no mistake though, it’s a pretty competent gaming computer.

The laptop has very adequate processing speed and graphics are phenomenal. Battery life is ok-ish but it does burn pretty quick due to the fans. Perfect for gaming if you don’t want to build a tower. Super quick setup and solid performance for everything from movies, new games, and old games.

This laptop flies and has such beautiful clarity of monitor. It’s light speeds faster than my dell and the battery life is pretty solid.
